4th of July Dinner in the Garden
There's nothing I love more than an excuse to set a beautiful table! And 4th of July is exactly that. Although it may look different this year, with less people, and less pomp and circumstance, we can still make it a beautiful family day.
Often times, with 4th of July, I go BOLD. Red, white and blue. Stars and stripes. This year, I find myself craving a bit more calm in all aspects of my life. So I decided to set a light, airy table with just a touch of patriotic charm. Perfect for dinner in the garden!
My friend, Flowers by Katie Ford
, created two beautiful floral arrangements full of green and white blooms that anchored the table perfectly. I layered the table with a white windowpane tablecloth, woven placemats, Juliska
melamine plates and bamboo silverware, and used our ginger jar tea towels
as oversized napkins for outdoor dining. I popped a little flag into the napkin ring to add that patriotic touch, but what I love about the table is that you can eliminate the flag detail, and still have a gorgeous table for any summer occasion.
